Physical Rehabilitation

What is Pet Physical Rehabilitation ?

Rehabilitation for pets is similar to physical therapy for humans. The goal of rehab is to reduce pain, restore mobility and improve strength. A body in motion stays in motion; so with proper movements and exercises, inflammation can be decreased. This in turn decreases pain, improves discomfort and encourages more movement.

How Does Pet Physical Rehabilitation Work?

Rehabilitation uses a combination of exercises, modalities/therapies and techniques to improve the pet's mobility, strength and overall well-being. Rehab can help with many conditions including arthritis, pre- and post-surgical injury and recovery, obesity and weight-loss, neurological conditions as well as prevention of injury.
